My Medilink Journey

In 2018, Rebecca was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis also known as Bladder Pain Syndrome.

Rebecca tried every treatment available to keep her painful and debilitating symptoms at bay, trying to live life with a nephrostomy bag without success.  She was eventually advised she needed to have her bladder removed. Having a stoma was the most positive thing to happen to Rebecca and as a member of our Brand Advocate community, she is extremely passionate about raising awareness of those living with a Urostomy.  Rebecca says “us urostomists are often the ‘forgotten’ ostomists, there are so many fewer of us!”.

Rebecca reflected how Medilink® have been with her since Day 1, offering her a fully personalised service.  From complimenting items such as dry wipes, hand sanitizer and the all-important mattress protector, the Medilink® team ease any worry she may have.  Rebecca often finds herself chatting with the team in her local branch about anything but her stoma!  She said says they make her feel special and can’t do enough to help.
